Merry Christmas! Yet another 谢怜 (Xie Lian) and 花城 (Hua Cheng) song, 天官赐福 (Heaven Official’s Blessing). Some spoilers due to the lyrics and fanart used in the video.

《随怜》天官赐福 – English Translation
《轻舟不渡》天官赐福 – English Translation
Here’s another 双玄 song (师青玄 (Shi Qing Xuan) and 贺玄 (He Xuan)), from 天官赐福 (Heaven Official’s Blessing). Spoilers if still haven’t read about what happens to them in Book 3.
By the way, He Xuan has always been a man of few words. IIRC the dialogue by He Xuan in this fansong don’t appear in the novel.
《君临天下》天官赐福 – English Translation
Happy birthday to 谢怜 (Xie Lian)! This song has nothing to do with him, but also everything to do with him.
Featuring one of the characters from 天官赐福 (Heaven Official’s Blessing). Who is it? Well those who know, will know. I’ve wanted to translate fansongs for this character but he’s just full of spoilers. So I kept translating other fansongs instead.
Also, bear in mind that the original is actually a CN Vocaloid song! So the lyrics can’t be an accurate portrayal of this character. Nonetheless, the song and lyrics are still really suitable. In case it isn’t obvious yet, MAJOR SPOILERS if you haven’t finished the novel.
《岂吟叹》天官赐福 – English Translation
Happy birthday to 花城 (Hua Cheng)! This song does not feature him at all, but it’s the translation I have finished so–
A group fansong for the female characters of 天官赐福 (Heaven Official’s Blessing). Some spoilers if you read deeply into the lyrics (about the characters’ pasts). I really like this fansong, especially since it gives focus to the female characters.
《何幸如之》天官赐福 – English Translation
A 谢怜 (Xie Lian) and 花城 (Hua Cheng) fansong, 天官赐福 (Heaven Official’s Blessing), that was released in celebration of 花城’s (Hua Cheng) birthday (10th June). Mild spoilers since the lyrics are on the ambiguous side.
Quick CNovel Reviews #1
Since I’m rather deep in cnovel hell, I thought that I might as well do quick reviews of what I’ve read. My stand is that you need to be in the right mood to enjoy the different range of novels, and I always try to find something in it to enjoy. For example if you’re in the mood for something light-hearted, no matter how good it is, you won’t appreciate a plot-heavy story with heavy themes. So I don’t give ratings, just my thoughts on what I find enjoyable!
I read mostly male x male romance (since that’s the majority of what my good friend recommends to me…), but I also read female x male romance. Not all the novels I read are romance-focused though. And I make it a point to finish once I start reading so if the English translations aren’t complete, I read the original Mandarin Chinese version. I’ll review 5 novels at one time. Since this is the first post, most of the cnovels in this post are my personal favourites!
Important note about translations etc
28 APRIL 2019 UPDATE: I have approached and sorted things out with two youtube users. The first one did not delete the videos, but chose to blur out the subs. Please inform me if this user ever repeats their actions.
I have worked things out with the second youtube user. Things are fine now. Please don’t bother them.
Sadly, this incident has shown that if a person really wants to take your hard work, they will do whatever it takes even if you password-lock all your posts and put a stern warning. There is no way for me to judge their intentions if they disguise it well. So fine, I will make everything public again.
However, I ask for your cooperation in telling me if you ever see anyone using my translations without my knowledge/credit. I will approach them to settle things.
To everyone who keeps asking why I don’t sub my translations on the videos: I don’t want to repost another fan’s hard work without their permission. I have tried asking original uploaders but to no avail. So I could only proceed this way. I have many footnotes which I think will enhance people’s understanding, but cannot fit in a video. Those are the top reasons. I allowed people to use my translations as long as they tell me first and credit and link back (including re-translating into another language).
So like I always state at the end of my posts: If you want to use my translations for anything, ask me first. Please don’t copy/paste/edit my translations elsewhere without my knowledge. If you truly do wish to share, please post a link to my blog instead of reposting my translations. If you take advantage of my hard work, don’t expect me to 给你面子.
Lastly, if you enjoy my blog content, you may consider buying me a ko-fi (https://ko-fi.com/A7671WQX). If not, a simple “thank you” and/or comments are always appreciated. This applies to any translator – please take the initiative to show them your appreciation.
《百无禁忌》天官赐福 – English Translation
Happy Lunar New Year! I always love group fansongs for 天官赐福 (Heaven Official’s Blessing). This time, the lyrics and dialogue contain the perspectives of 18 characters! Major spoilers. This was hard for me to translate because most of the lines of the lyrics are compact and divided up.
《谢花怜尘》天官赐福 – English Translation
Happy New Year! Here’s a 谢怜 (Xie Lian)-centric fansong, 天官赐福 (Heaven Official’s Blessing), that was released in celebration of his birthday (15th July). I like that this PV highlights a certain quote which was used by both characters (because most feature only 花城 (Hua Cheng) saying it). Some spoilers.
